2018 Conference Launched
WEST COUNTRY TOURISM CONFERENCE, 7 & 8 February – this is the annual tourism conference for the region, held alongside the Source Trade Show at Westpoint in East Devon, now in its 6th year and regularly achieving positive feedback from 95% of delegates.
- 7th Feb will focus on tourism ideas, news and excellence in customer service, with a return of key note speaker Geoff Ramm – who achieved outstanding ratings for his presentation last year. We will also be hearing from Quality in Tourism, about employment issues from Stephens Scown, about working with schools and universities from Springboard and Exeter University, and will have a good look at trends with Helen Laing from Clockwork Marketing.
- 8th Feb will be 'Marketing and Digital Day' with a wide range of speakers including Anke Monestel from VisitEngland. We’ll hear from the indefatigable Thomas Moore from Stephens Scown, and anticipate an invaluable session on profit and the booking mix from eviivo, Booking.com and Clockwork Marketing. Kate from Cosmic will provide insights on what’s new in digital, with Soundview updating on VR and Alison Howell sharing her experiences on Foot Trails and her experience in the US market.
Tickets cost £30 per day to members of recognised tourism bodies, £40 to non-members. Further information on speakers and their topics, along with online booking, can be found at www.westcountrytourismconference.org.uk
The Conference is sponsored by Clockwork Marketing and Stephens Scown and is hosted by Expowest Exhibitions as part of the Source Trade Show at Westpoint
